With transfer rumours slowly gaining speed and heat ahead of the summer transfer window, Premier League giants Arsenal continue to be linked with a variety of big-name players thought to be on Arsene Wenger’s agenda.
The more prudent Gunners fans and supporters will be wise enough to take all the sensational speculation with a big pinch of salt, however. Knowing Arsene Wenger and his signing policy, Kylian Mbappe, Alexandre Lacazette and other high-profile stars would usually remain out of Gunners’ reach and that is exactly why the following rumour – however surprising it may sound – will come as the most likely one.
According to Sunderland Echo, Arsenal have expressed their interest in signing the Sunderland youngsters Joel Asoro and his teammate Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka.
Swedish youth internationals are thought to be subjects of a £5 million bid from the Gunners and Joel Asoro is well aware of Arsenal interest which came as a shock for himself as well.
“People were a little shocked because I have played very little first-team football. “It is clear t It came as a shock. It is clear clubs contact each other and stuff, but it’s my agent in charge of it. I try to focus on my football. The people are surprised as well, but we’ll see what happens.”, Asoro said.
Asoro became the youngest-ever Sunderland player to play in the Premier League after nine minutes spent on the pitch in total for the Black Cats. The Swedish youngster broke into the club’s Under23s side where he scored twice last term.
Joel Asoro is a striker, whereas his international and club teammate Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka plays in midfield.
