Arsenal fans won’t look at yesterday’s scoreline from a broad perspective and see it as a giant success, because they wanted to secure all three points against Crystal Palace. Alas, there are still fans that choose to look on the positive side of things, despite the fact that they were only able to get a point at Selhurst Park in an intriguing 1-1 clash.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had initially put Arsenal ahead and from that point on, it seemed like a virtual certainty that they were going to come away with the victory. They were putting their foot down and really stepping hard on the throat of Palace, but in the second half, Jordan Ayew was able to work his magic yet again as he equalised for the hosts.
Aubameyang went from hero to zero with a really silly red card, but the shining light for Arsenal fans is that they were able to hold on for the point – but, again, it was a notable split within the fanbase regarding whether or not this was a good result.
With European football being on the verge of returning and the FA Cup also being on the horizon yet again, the Gunners will need to resolve any lingering issues – and fast.
Was it a point gained or two dropped for Arsenal?
