Arsenal confirm new Emirates wraparound artwork
Arsenal have confirmed their plans to have new wraparound artwork set up on the front side of the Emirates Stadium, following what they describe as “extensive consultations” with fans, as a part of the plans for the changes they intend to make in the coming period.
The removal of the existing artwork there has already begun, and there should be eight new pieces that are supposed to represent where the club is at this moment in time.
“Since April, we’ve enjoyed extensive consultations with a broad and diverse range of supporters on the new artwork that will adorn the Emirates Stadium exterior,” the statement reads.
“We started with a blank piece of paper and the sole intention of working with our community to create art that would express what Arsenal means in 2023.
“With the commitment, support and input of the Arsenal family, we’re now very close to finalising eight pieces of art that are true to who we are, what we are, and who we represent as a club.
“We’re excited to launch the new artwork in January and many supporters may have noticed that, as the World Cup brings a break in our men’s fixtures, we’ve already started to remove the existing art. While this means the stadium will be ‘bare’ for a few weeks, we hope you’ll agree it will be worth the wait!
“We look forward to sharing more details soon.
“Thank you for all your support.”
