Premier League side Arsenal are said to be keeping close tabs on Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici.
The 20-year-old is said to have been personally watched by Arsene Wenger, according to Turkish media outlet Ajansspor.
Yazici broke to prominence in 2015 when he made his senior debut for Trabzonspor and has so far scored 10 goals in 43 appearances for his club.
The talented midfielder has been widely tipped to make a move to a more prominent football competition and a move to the Premier League appears to be on the cards with Arsenal expressing a strong interest in the player.
Yazici’s agent Adem Cebeci insists the north London giants – and Wenger in person – have been monitoring his protegee for quite some time and that Trabzonspor are well aware of the increasing interest in their starlet’s services.
“Dr Erkut Sogut [another representative of Yazici] has been in talks with clubs and there is interest from the Premier League. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has watched Yusuf in person.”, Cebeci stated and added that Yazici himself is keen on a move to Europe.
The 20-year-old talent Yusuf Yazici has been compared to Arsenal creative genius Mesut Ozil who is edging closer to a move away from the Emirates and Wenger sees him as a direct replacement for the German international.
Yazici’s style of football makes him a suitable target for a great number of top European clubs but Trabzonspor are pushing to have their starlet remain at the club and continue his development before hitting a brighter European stage.
