Arsenal will be back in Premier League action on April 1st when they take on Stoke City, and courtesy of bet365, we’ve assembled some of the most interesting bets available as the Gunners attempt to secure their place in the top six ahead of Burnley.
It’s clear to see that Arsene Wenger’s men could probably ease to this victory with their eyes shut, but considering the physicality of the Potters combined with their upcoming Europa League tie, it leads us to believe that a handful of stars will be rested – and rightly so.
After all, there’s no point rising some of your bigger names in a game like this, especially when you look at just how poorly Stoke have fared so far this season. So, while the market hasn’t yet been released, betting on three or four yellow cards and potentially a red for Stoke may be the smart way to go.
In terms of the half-time/full-time bets themselves, however, Arsenal look fairly comfortable at 10/11 to be leading both after 45 minutes and 90 minutes. The likelihood of it being a draw at halftime with Arsenal pinching it in the second half is 3/1, which is fairly good value as many top teams have been stuttering out of the starting blocks at home in the league this year.
The result/both teams to score market is also quite interesting, with the Gunners & Yes being pegged at 7/4 with the Gunners & No being 13/10. On the flip side, Stoke to win and both teams to score is out to 14/1, with a draw and both teams to score being as low as 5/1.
They’re clearly anticipating a handful of goals, too, with over 2.5 being 1/2 and the under being 6/4. Some may see that as generous, but Arsenal have actually been quite prolific in front of goal over the course of the last few games.
In terms of the result itself and nothing else, however, Arsenal are unsurprisingly the overwhelming favourites at 1/3 – although if you fancy an upset, the draw is 4/1 and an away victory for the Potters brings us home at 8/1.
No matter where you are on April Fools Day make sure you catch a glimpse of this game because in all likelihood, you’ll see an Arsenal team who are back to their best.
