Burnley (A) – Premier League
Away game number three in a row will take place at Turf Moor when Arsenal take on a rejuvenated Burnley side. This is exactly the sort of game that they’ve been struggling with away from home in the last few years, and we think they’re going to struggle again here. Burnley are no pushovers as they were able to prove in their recent clash with Leicester, and they aren’t going to lie down for anyone. We’re predicting a draw, which seems to be Arteta’s favourite kind of result right now.
Newcastle (H) – Premier League
There are no excuses here: beat them. Newcastle may have taken points off of the big boys this season but at the Emirates, there’s no way that they should be allowed to come away with anything. Arsenal are capable of turning the Magpies over and really sending a message to the top six, and given that we’re predicting a draw against Burnley, we think a win here would finally put the lingering concerns about a potential relegation battle to rest once and for all.
Olympiakos (A) – Europa League
We can see Arteta testing the waters with a few fringe players here in order to put some of the focus back onto the fight in the Premier League. While the Europa may serve as their best opportunity of achieving Champions League football again, they can’t afford to put all of their eggs in one basket as they did last season. We think they’ll end up securing a draw here, and given the value of an away goal in Europe, we don’t actually think that’s a bad result for the visitors.
Everton (H) – Premier League
The visit of Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton is going to be tough, but this is going to be a big test of Arsenal’s grit. We think they’re more than good enough to get the three points, but it’s largely going to come down to the mental aspect of the game. Arteta will be settled by this point and if there’s going to be a ‘statement’ win, this should be it.
How many wins can Arsenal get from these six games?
