Chelsea and Arsenal played out a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
The home side had the first attempt on goal after just two minutes, as Alvaro Morata tried to poke an effort in at the near post. However, the Spanish striker could only find the side-netting.
The next attempt on goal did not come until the 20th minute when Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka dragged a long-range free-kick wide of goal. Two minutes later the visitors hit the Blues on the counter-attack, Jack Wilshere feeding the ball to Alexandre Lacazette, who fires wide of Chelsea’s near post. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal won the Community Shield on Sunday against Chelsea courtesy of a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
The game started in a lively manner and it was Arsenal who saw the first real sight of goal. Winger Alex Iwobi ghosted past two Chelsea defenders, before seeing his centre across the fact the face of the goal hit Alexandre Lacazette and bounced clear.
A minute later and Chelsea ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois produced a comfortable save from a Danny Welbeck header. The Blues goalkeeper was in action soon afterwards denying Iwobi at close-range after the Nigerian had received a clever through-ball from Mohamed Elneny. .......Read more here.....
