According to Football.London, Manchester United are keen to sign AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, a player who has been linked all summer with Arsenal. The Gunners have had three bids rejected by the Ligue 1 champions for the 21-year-old, but United may have more luck given they’re able to offer considerable more for his signature than Arsenal.

Arsenal had an initial bid of around £30m-£35m turned down by Monaco, before being equally unsuccessful with a £40m offer. And the Metro reported the Gunners had a £45m bid turned down at the end of July. Manchester United are now going to try their hand, with the winger’s asking price believed to be more than £60m.

According to Sky Sports, Catalan giants Barcelona could rival Arsenal for the signature of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar. The Gunners have already reportedly had two bids rejected for the 21-year-old, but are still interested in the youngster.

Lemar seems to be Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s main transfer target this summer. The Gunners have been linked with Leicester star Riyad Mahrez, but the Frenchman seems to top the veteran Frenchman’s wish list.

According to talkSPORT via the Express, AS Monaco have made a £45m for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez. The Ligue 1 side could be losing Kylian Mbappe after the teenager reportedly requested a move from the Stade Louis II and Sanchez could now be replacing him.

The Sun journalist Martin Lipton believes Monaco will consider giving Arsenal Thomas Lemar as a “bargaining chip” to allow them to sign Sanchez, with manager Arsene Wenger having said in no uncertain terms that the Chilean would not be sold.

He would need a lot of convincing, although Arsenal have had three bids rejected for Lemar and may soften their stance if they sign the 21-year-old.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal have had a big money bid for Dortmund’s highly-rated winger Ousmane Dembele. The 20-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in the European game. It seems the Gunners are one of the teams hoping to sign the winger.

Arsenal are reportedly still in talks to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar. However, a deal still does not seem close. Dembele looks to be a viable alternative, although the 20-year-old is attracting attention from elsewhere.

Premier League giants Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for AS Monaco star Thomas Lemar who has been a subject of three separate bids from the north London club.

AS Monaco have lost several key first-team players this summer already and could end up losing both Lemar and Mbappe before the summer transfer window closes despite their stance that some players would be sold and others won’t.

Having already sanctioned the moves of Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko among others, AS Monaco will find it hard to keep the two aforementioned stars against their will.

Arsenal struggling to sell unwanted players 1

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are struggling to get rid of some of their unwanted stars this summer because of their high salaries.

The Gunners have a number of players that they are looking to sell this summer. The likes of Jack Wilshere, Lucas Perez, Kieran Gibbs, David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Calum Chambers are all seemingly surplus to requirement in north London.

The players seem happy to leave the club, as they are unlikely to feature heavily for the first-team next season.
However, there seems to be one major sticking point for their exit, their high salaries at the Emirates Stadium. The players seem unwilling to take a pay-cut, even if it means regular action elsewhere in the Premier League.

Arsenal could end up missing out on their summer target Thomas Lemar with AS Monaco vice-president claiming the exciting 21-year-old is one of the players that will not be sold this summer at any costs.

The North London club have been linked with a move for the £50 million rated AS Monaco forward over the past couple of weeks with Arsene Wenger hoping to make the French star his third summer signing.

Having already recruited defender Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal boss is expected to make a couple of more signings in order to build a competitive squad that would compete for domestic honours next season.

Arsenal still not giving up on Lemar signing 0

Arsenal have been linked with AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar all summer but haven’t managed to agree on a price with the club or personal terms with the player. And now, with the club losing so many of last season’s standout performers, the chance of signing another in Lemar is getting slimmer by the minute.

Nevertheless, the Gunners aren’t going to give up on the 21-year-old this summer, according to the Daily Star, and could lodge a bid up to £55m to procure his signature. Lemar scored and created 19 goals in 34 Ligue 1 games last season, helping Monaco to the Ligue 1 title and Champions League semi-final.

According to the Metro, Leicester City have decided to drop their asking price for Algerian international winger Riyad Mahrez to £40million. The 26-year-old handed in a transfer request earlier this summer and is expected to leave the Midlands club before the transfer window shuts.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Italian club Roma are all reportedly interested in signing Mahrez this summer in a big money deal. The Gunners had been linked with a move for the skilful star last summer, but he decided to sign a new deal with the then-champions.

Arsenal chase German international midfielder 0

According to German publication Sport Bild, Arsenal could be set to make a summer move for Schalke’s highly rated German international midfielder Goretzka. However, they could face stiff competition for the 22-year-old from Bavarian giants Bayern Munich for the midfielder’s signature.

The young midfielder is gaining a big reputation in European football. Schalke are unwilling to sell the midfielder, despite his contract expiring next summer.

The German club did the same with Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac and the defender joined the Gunners on a free transfer this summer. It seems they are prepared to lose another player for nothing next summer and miss out on a significant transfer fee.
