Arsenal’s Spanish striker Lucas Perez is set for a summer return to former club Deportivo La Coruna, according to the Daily Star.
Lucas only arrived at Arsenal last summer from Deportivo for a reported fee of around £17million. The Gunners snatched the striker out of the grasp of Premier League rivals Everton.
However, Lucas has failed to get much of a chance in north London and it seems he could make a loan move back to his former club.

One of the most high-profile moves of transfer deadline day saw Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere move to Premier League rivals Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal.
The deal is seen as one for Wilshere to get some game time and establish himself again after recent campaigns of injury nightmares. The move has seen Wilshere’s long-term future with Arsenal questioned.
Set to be offered a contract extension
However, according to the Daily Star Arsenal set to offer the midfielder a contract extension in January. Asked about the midfielder’s long-term future Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said: “I want him to extend, yes, I think [talks will start] around December,” .......Read more here.....

Polish international goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is due to return to Italian club Roma on-loan with a view to a permanent £13.4million deal next summer, according to the Daily Star.
The Poles departure comes as very little surprise to anybody connected with the Gunners. It’s surprising that the deal took so long to happen.
Is still a promising goalkeeper
Wojciech Szczesny is still regarded as a ‘keeper with a lot of promise for the future. At 26-years-old the ‘keeper is nowhere near his prime as a goalkeeper. For a long time, he looked like he would become a top ‘keeper at Arsenal. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to the Daily Star. However, the Gunners could face a transfer battle with Chelsea for the Spanish international striker.
Just moved back to the Spanish capital
Real Madrid have only just officially confirmed that they have officially re-signed the forward for £23million after activating a release clause in his Juventus contract. The striker has impressed in spurts in Turin and is highly-rated.
The move is believed to have been poorly financially motivated, as the striker is in major demand this summer and Los Blancos may be able to double their money on the striker who scored three times at Euro 2016. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal ‘keeper David Ospina is close to completing a £3.5 million move to Turkish champions Besiktas, with the Colombian international hoping to move away from the Emirates this summer in order to play regular first team football.
Ospina has also reportedly attracted interest from Premier League rivals Everton, but it seems the Turkish side are favourites to sign the Colombian international.
Never going to play in front of Petr Cech
Ospina is clear second choice ‘keeper behind Cech and is unlikely to become first choice ahead of the Czech in the near future, which was probably obvious last summer, but the former-Nice ‘keeper decided to stay with the north London club. .......Read more here.....

PSG’s Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic is once again being linked with a summer move to the Premier League. This time it is the Daily Star who claims that the striker could be set for a move to north London.
Ibrahimovic is set to become a free agent when his contract in the French capital expires this summer, as there has been no indication that he will sign a contract extension.
In fine form this season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has always been prolific in front of goal, but this season he has been on absolute fire. The veteran striker has scored 42 goals in 44 games in all competitions for PSG, with five of those coming in the Champions League. .......Read more here.....

As usual the same names have been reeled-off by the media as potential Arsenal target targets. Karim Benzema, Edinson Cavani and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have all supposedly been spotted in London hotels, or are about to arrive at the Gunners training ground for a medical.
When in truth is probably that none of the trio have ever been anywhere signing for Arsenal. The Daily Star may just have trumped everybody with their rubbish of the day story about the Gunners spending £76million on Aubameyang, because German legend Lothar Mattheus stated he would be available for that fee. They later published Dortmund’s reply to the rumours. .......Read more here.....

The Daily Star are linking Premier League leaders Arsenal with a shock swoop for Watford captain Troy Deeney. The Hornets look unlikely to sell their captain, especially with the club just three points off a top-six position.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly a big fan of the hard working Deeney and is looking to strength his forward line in January after seemingly wrapping up a deal for Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
Deeney was prolific in the Championship and his goals and strike-partnership with Nigerian international Odion Ighalo helped the club to promotion to the top-flight last season. .......Read more here.....

I have to say the story published by the Daily Star about Lionel Messi being unhappy at Barcelona and wanting a move to the Premier League is ridiculous. The Argentinian superstar has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, who is reportedly his preferred destination.
The 28-year-old four-time Ballon d’Or winner is supposedly looking for an exit from Spain after his recent tax problems and is looking for £600,000 per-week in his next move, which is likely to give Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger a heart attack. .......Read more here.....

It seems that Aleksandr Kokorin’s agent is keen on getting the Russian striker a move from Dynamo Moscow in January, with Arsenal cited as a possible destination. Dynamo boss Andrey Kolebev admitted recently that the Gunners had a loan bid turned down for the striker in the summer transfer window.
However, Kokorin’s agent has told the Daily Star that a move to Arsenal could be resurrected in January by saying: “Aleksandr, if all well informed, still has a chance [to move in the future] and not just to Arsenal. .......Read more here.....
