Newcastle United are preparing a bid for Arsenal’s out-of-favour central midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to the Daily Express. The report also claims that Wilshere has accepted the fact that he is now surplus to requirements in north London.
The 25-year-old’s contract in north London expires next summer and it seems unlikely that a chance offer will be forthcoming.

Manchester United are set to make a double swoop on Arsenal for star duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, according to the Daily Express. Any deal would be regarded as a kick in the teeth to Gunners fans everywhere.
Both players will have 12 months left in their Arsenal contracts in the summer, so may be sold rather than the north London club losing them for nothing in the summer of 2018.

There has been a lot of speculation about whether Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could take the England manager’s job in the near future. The experienced Gunners boss seems to be distancing himself from the job by saying interim boss Gareth Southgate is the best man for the job.

When asked about the England job Wenger told the Daily Express: “I focus on my job, that’s what it is about. I believe he [Southgate] has accumulated experiences, he was a good observer.

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal may rival Middlesbrough and Liverpool for Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic, as the Gunners look to strengthen their defensive options.
The club from north London have been linked with a number of defenders this summer and it seems that Subotic could be a prospective target this summer.

Subotic is a player in-demand this summer despite enduring a difficult couple of years for Dortmund. According to the Daily Express, the English FA could leave it a year to appoint a new England boss with a view to appointing Gunners boss Arsene Wenger next summer as the Three Lions permanent boss.
A three man committee of Martin Glenn, Dan Ashworth and David Gill are likely to be the men who choose the next England boss.
They are expected to appoint a caretaker-manager in the wake of Roy Hodgson’s recent resignation following England’s disastrous Euro 2016 exit against Iceland in the last-16. The Three Lions face their qualifier against Slovakia in September. .......Read more here.....

With Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy leaving Arsenal whistling in the wind over whether he’s joining them or not, it seems the Gunners have a back-up plan. Unfortunately it seems it is a name mentioned at least twice a transfer window when it comes to Arsenal and never signs. It is Edinson Cavani.
According to the Daily Express, the Uruguayan currently plying his trade with French champions PSG is the Gunners back-up plan.

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal have been handed a boost in their reportedly chase of Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder William Carvalho, after talks over a new contract with the Portuguese club broke down.
Carvalho has been mooted as a possible Arsenal signing for a long time, especially before the emergence of French midfielder Francis Coquelin. However a deal looked unlikely as Carvalho looked certain to sign a new long-term deal with sporting, in turn putting up his price in the transfer market. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Express and the Turkish Media, Arsenal are scouting former midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, who is currently plying his trade with Besiktas in Turkey.
The 23-year-old has impressed with the Turkish side since joining from joining back in 2012. Ozyakup joined the Gunners youth ranks in 2008 from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar and big things were expected of the young midfielder.
However, he made just two appearances for the north London club, which both came in the 2011/12 season in the league cup. He cost Besiktas just £500,000, but is now rated in the £7million bracket by his current employer. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering using full-backs Kieran Gibbs or Hector Bellerin on the flanks in a bid to solve Arsenal’s current midfield crisis. The midweek injuries to Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have left the Gunners short on the wings.
One of the simplest solutions seems to be move Santi Cazorla from his central midfield position to a wide position and bring in Mathieu Flamini in the centre of midfield.
Another is to field Costa Rica international Joel Campbell on the wing, but the winger produced a less than impressive display on the flank against Sheffield Wednesday, so maybe an alternative should be found. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Express and reports in Spain, Arsenal could renew their interest in PSG striker Edinson Cavani, who the Parisians may allow to leave in the January transfer window.
The Gunners were continually linked with a move for the Uruguayan international in the summer, as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was reportedly looking to sign a top-class striker.
Cavani recently scored a brace in a win over Ligue One title rivals Monaco and is regarded as one of the best out-and-out number nines in the world game.
