It seems that Arsenal may well have made a big mistake in the transfer market last summer. The Gunners decided to allow young German attacking midfielder Serge Gnabry to join Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

While his club are near the bottom of the German top-flight table, Gnabry has been doing more than most to drag them up the league. In fact, on Friday night he scored a brace to help Werder record a 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.

Arsenal have been famous for developing young players in the last two decades under French boss Arsene Wenger. However, there are some youngsters that have had to leave the club to prove their worth elsewhere.

A youngster who left Arsenal just last summer has been impressing in the Bundesliga for Werder Bremen. That youngster is Serge Gnabry. The 21-year-old left the Gunners for a fee of just £6million in the summer.

He has since gone on to score seven goals in 15 appearances for Werder and scoring a hat-trick on his international debut for Germany in an 8-0 drubbing of San Marino

Werder Bremen forward Serge Gnabry has revealed he is thankful to Arsenal for making him the player he is now as the 21-year-old made the headlines by scoring a hat-trick on his Germany debut.

The talented winger had been with the Gunners since 2011 and despite showing a great deal of potential, he decided to leave the club in favour of joining Werder Bremen in the summer.

After bagging six goals for Germany Under-23 side at the Summer Olympics, Gnabry continued the rich vein of form by netting 4 times in his first 9 Bundesliga appearances, which proved enough for Die Mannschaft boss Joachim Low to hand him his first call-up.

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is reportedly set to join German giants Bayern Munich, Sky Germany has moved to suggest.

The Gunners were hoping to extend the player’s deal before sending him out on loan, but it looks as though the talented footballer is now set for a permanent move away from the Emirates.

According to reports, Gnabry will be sold to Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes and will then be immediately loaned to Werder Bremen.

The news will not go down well with Arsenal fans after the 21-year-old impressed playing for Germany at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he bagged six goals in as many appearances.

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is reportedly set to join the Germany squad for the 2016 Rio Olympics this summer, according to Sky Sports. If he participates along with the other 17 players, Gnabry will miss the remainder of pre-season with Arsenal and the first Premier League game of the new campaign. And with the 21-year-old in the last year of his deal, having been frozen out of the first-time in the last season, is it wise for him to join Germany’s Olympics squad?

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is widely expected to be farmed out on loan in the next few weeks, according to the latest reports, with English Championship his most likely destination.

It is believed that the likes of Fulham, Charlton and Bolton are all keen on recruiting the German footballer this month, with the emergency loan window having opened today and only closing on 24 March.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to allow Gnabry to move to the Championship as the player hopes to secure much needed regular playing time.

In the summer Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger decided to loan out highly-rated German midfielder Serge Gnabry. A temporary move to Premier League West Brom seemed like an ideal move for the youngster.

Lack of action

The Baggies are a good stable top-flight team, where he should have been able to gain first team experience in the Premier League. However, he has struggled for game time with the Baggies and boss Tony Pulis claimed earlier this season that he felt Gnabry was not ready for the Premier League.

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry could well be on his way out of the club after his manager Arsene Wenger revealed plans to loan him out in order for him to get some game time. Returning from a failed spell with West Bromwich Albion this season, the German U21 international looks set to be sent out again with too much competition in the first-team.

The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Joel Campbell, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Owobi and the returning Danny Welbeck are all ahead of Gnabry, so Wenger wants him to get match practice elsewhere. “I am tempted to give him some competition because he has not played at West Brom. I am tempted to let him go somewhere to do with him what I did with Coquelin, somewhere for a month or two,” he said.

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry has returned to the club after a failed loan spell at West Bromwich Albion. The German U21 international struggled for game time at the Hawthorns due to injuries and not fitting the manager’s philosophy. With chances few and far between at Arsenal, he was hopeful of playing Premier League football with a club willing to give him gametime, but things didn’t go too well in the Midlands.

Arsene Wenger has decided to recall Serge Gnabry from West Brom after the highly rated German failed to make a big impact on the Premier League with Tony Pulis’ team.

Gnabry signed for the Baggies last August, but was never given a chance during five months with the club and was restricted to just 12 minutes of league football.

Talented 20-year-old winger broke into the Arsenal fold in the 2013/14 season and was regarded as one of the most promising young footballer in European football.
