For me, Arsenal losing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on deadline day to Liverpool was not a disaster. I just want to know why it took the two clubs until so late in the transfer window to agree a deal.
The midfielder never looked like signing a new deal in north London. If Arsenal would have sold him earlier in the summer, they could have brought a replacement in. However, this is Arsenal and nothing seems to happen the way it should.
Take for example Arsene Wenger team selection in recent weeks. At times Hector Bellerin has been playing as a left wing-back, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing on the opposite flank. .......Read more here.....

Kolasinac was the focus of attention for a number of other clubs prior to his free transfer to the Gunners from German club Schalke in the summer. In fact, the likes of AC Milan, Chelsea and Everton were all reportedly looking to sign the defender. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal won the Community Shield on Sunday against Chelsea courtesy of a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
The game started in a lively manner and it was Arsenal who saw the first real sight of goal. Winger Alex Iwobi ghosted past two Chelsea defenders, before seeing his centre across the fact the face of the goal hit Alexandre Lacazette and bounced clear.
A minute later and Chelsea ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois produced a comfortable save from a Danny Welbeck header. The Blues goalkeeper was in action soon afterwards denying Iwobi at close-range after the Nigerian had received a clever through-ball from Mohamed Elneny. .......Read more here.....

The club from north London are reportedly still trying to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, despite the French club stating in the press that he is not for sale this summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger took the very usual step of changing his formation to three centre-backs at the end of last season for the first time in over two decades.
The indications from pre-season are that the veteran French boss may stick with three at the back for the start of the new campaign. However, when everybody is fit who should start in the heart of the Gunners defence?
Arsenal now have decent options
Arsenal now have decent centre-back options in Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel, Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding. Then there are the versatile options of Sead Kolasinac, Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers if the latter stays of course. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs was a player that looked to have so much promise when he first broke into the Gunners first-team. However, a mixture of injury problems and a loss of form saw him struggle for first team last season.
There are now doubts over the England international’s future at the club after he was omitted from the Gunners squad for their preseason tour of Australia and China.
According to Sky Sports, West Brom have seen a £10million bid for the full-back rejected. It seems that he is more highly-rated elsewhere than in north London. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal opened their preseason campaign with a 2-0 victory over Australian side Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium.
The Gunners took the lead through a header from veteran German centre-back Per Mertesacker on four minutes. England international Danny Welbeck missed a penalty kick.
However, the big moment Arsenal fans will have been waiting for happened on 83 minutes. Club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette came midway through the second half and made a quick impact.
Alex Iwobi cut the ball back to the striker, who fired home to seal the victory for the Gunners. Everybody connected with the Gunners will be happy that the striker opened his scoring account so early his career at the north London club. .......Read more here.....

According to reports from Turkish newspaper AMK, Barcelona’s Turkish midfielder Arda Turan is interesting Arsenal. In fact, the reports suggest that the Gunners are set to make a bid of around £26million for the former Atletico Madrid star.
The Turkish international has failed to have a major impact since his arrival in 2015. He is considered by many in Catalonia to have flopped at the Spanish giants, as he has failed to nail down a regular starting spot at the Nou Camp.
Would Wenger really pay £26million Turan? .......Read more here.....

SArsenal have now officially announced the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina international Sead Kolasinac. The 23-year-old has agreed to a five-year deal with the Gunners and will arrive on a free transfer from Schalke.
The versatile star is expected to join up with the Arsenal squad in July, which is when his contract in Gelsenkirchen expires. Although Kolasinac is versatile and can play in many positions, he is most noted as a left-back.
