Arsenal set asking price for Wilshere 0

Posted on July 20, 2017 by Crippy Cooke

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are willing to sell midfielder Jack Wilshere this summer, but only for the right price. The English international has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium as a result of a lack of playing time, and West Ham United are reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Wilshere has been rated at £20m by Arsenal but has been subject of a £6.5m bid from Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, which is believed to have been rejected. The playmaker is out of contract next summer so Arsenal will be forced to either sell him or extend his stay.

The Daily Mail website was running a story about Sampdoria bidding £9million to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere this summer. However, the Italian club are worried they may not be able to meet the Gunners financial demands.

The midfielder has just 12 months left on his contract in north London. It would not be a major surprise if he leaves the club.

He spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and made 27 appearances before unsurprisingly his season was cut short through injury. In reality, he failed to really shine for the Cherries, although he did produce a few decent performances

Arsenal in talks over Mustafi move 0

Arsenal are in talks to sign Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, according to Sky Germany via Sky Sports.

The Gunners have yet to submit a bid for the German defender, but reports claim he could be available for a fee of around £25.3million plus add-ons, which could total to a further £8.4million.

Mustafi has a minimum fee release clause of £42.1million in his Valencia contract, but Los Ches are unlikely to demand close to that fee for the defender because quite simply they need a cash injection following a poor campaign in La Liga.
