Arsenal-fan Rosicky believes Arsenal can comeback again this season 0

Posted on December 06, 2012 by admin

The returning Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky was highly instrumental last season when the Gunners clawed back a 12 point deficit on Tottenham in the closing weeks of the season to snatch third place from our bitter rivals, and although Arsenal have suddenly dropped to tenth place in the Premiership, Rosicky believes that they can turn things around again this time around despite being are currently priced at 80/1 in the betathome football betting to win the League.

Rosicky was at the Emirates to hear the fans voicing their displeasure after the game against Swansea and responded: “I can understand it, I’m an Arsenal fan as well,”

“On the other side, we have some young guys and they can feel the frustration as well. It’s definitely not helping them.

“We all have to stick together – that’s the only thing we can do. It’s what we did last season when everybody was writing us off and we came back stronger.

“After the comeback we produced, we could feel the great atmosphere we had at the Emirates, particularly the games against Tottenham and Milan. I’ve been a professional footballer for a very long time, and it was the best atmosphere I’ve ever played in.

“We have to win the people over again. That’s the challenge. We did it last year, so why not do it again? Of course it will be difficult. There’s no doubt about that, but we are capable of doing it again.

“If we are all on board, this is a great place to be and a great place to play football. But we have to stick together and fight.”

“I am a creative player – that’s the part I can contribute,” he said. “But it will not be easy for me. I was out for a long time so I need to regain match fitness again. Of course I would like to play. Let’s see how it goes.”

Little Mozart was finally given his comeback game (and first goal!) in the first 45 minutes against Olympiakos and is desperate to play his part in saving Arsenal’s season.

“I’m very happy to come back because it was a long time for me,” he said. “The boss told me before the game that he would let me play just until half time. I hope I can build everything up again.

“It’s just part of the game. You have to take it. It’s difficult for me. I can admit it because I had a good season behind me. I want to do the same as I did last year. I want to contribute.

“If you start to feel sorry for yourself, it’s the worst thing you can do. You have to fight and that’s what I’m able to do. As a team now, we’re not in a good position and we have to stick together now and fight. That’s the only thing we can do now.

“I will do my best to help this great Club to be much better again.”

Hear! Hear! Tomas! now get some of that postivity and give it to the rest of the team!

Wilshere Set For Another Spell Away From Football? 2

Posted on July 22, 2012 by admin

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger claims that nothing will motivate him to force Wilshere into a speedy comeback, after the English midfielder was out for the whole length of last season with a recurring injury to his ankle.

“It is impossible to set a concrete deadline at the moment,” Wenger told the club’s official website.

“But it is all OK. He is as quick as we expected him to be. His ankle is good and his knee is good. There is no setback.”

“It difficult to say ‘it will be this week in September or October’ when he is back in training. He has been out for a year and I don’t want to put any pressure on him.”

The Frenchman believes that Arsenal will have a strong side for their travels to Asia where the Gunners will play their pre-season games.

“Some players like Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain, they travel. Song, Diaby, Vermaelen, Santos, Gibbs, Szczesny, they will all travel,” said Wenger.

“So will Gervinho – we have a very strong team out there. Rosicky is injured. Apart from that I think everybody travels.”

“Emmanuel (Frimpong) is doing very well. It will be the end of September or perhaps into October for him.”

According to Wenger, full-back Backary Sagna is also likely to join the team at the end of August once he has recovered from the broken leg injury he suffered at the end of the season.

“He is doing very well. There are no problems there. But it will be the end of August for him.”

Arsenal will probably look a lot better this season than they have recently now that they will recover the likes of Sagna and Wilshere and they also bought Podolski and Giroud. Arsene Wenger is now focusing in bringing at least another midfielder, but if Robin Van Persie chooses to leave the Frenchman will have to face a whole new set of problems.

Rosicky injury is healing slowly – Will miss Israel friendly 0

Posted on May 23, 2012 by admin

The Arsenal midfielder Thomas Rosicky is probably having his last change to play in a top international competition this summer, but he was hit with a hamstring injury just after joining up with the Czech Republic squad.

Originally iy was reported that there was no tear and he would be back in a few days, but after extensive tests the national team doctor, Petr Krejci, has indicated that it is not quite as simple as that.

“The muscle is pulled, there is some swelling and hematoma [locazlized collection of blood away from the blood vessels],” Krejcí said. “The treatment is proceeding slowly.”

The 31 year-old Arsenal man now only has until next Tuesday to regain his fitness as that is the day that coach Michel Bilek must decide whether to name Rosicky in the final 23-man squad or to bring in his replacement, Viktoria Plzeň’s Vladimír Darida.

Come on Thomas! We want to see you back in action next month!

Rosicky – Wigan will be tough and Arsenal need to fight for the points 3

Posted on April 15, 2012 by admin

The Gunners midfielder Thomas Rosicky is not underestimating Wigan, who are Arsenal’s opponents on Monday night, and knows that any relegation-threatened team is going to be fighting for their lives until the end of the season.

“Wigan beat Manchester United on Wednesday, so that’s an indication that it will be a tough test for us,” the Czech international said. “We’ll have to be on top of our game to win, no doubt about it. Wigan have some very good players and a good young manager, so this will be a very tough match for us.

“We have a great chance to stay in third position, but now we have to make sure of it. That starts against Wigan on Monday – and make no mistake, it’s a very big game for us.

“People might not usually regard a match against Wigan as such a big one, but they are still battling relegation, so there is a lot at stake for both of us.

“We saw what can happen against a team fighting for its life when we played away at QPR, and we expect the same kind of performance from Wigan on Monday. We have to give 100 per cent to get the result.”

I would much rather the Arsenal players admitted it won’t be easy, rather than being overconfident and not playing at full throttle. Rosicky has got his attitude spot on!

Midfielder agrees new deal with Club

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to confirm that Tomas Rosicky has signed a new contract with the Club.

The Czech Republic captain has committed his future to Arsenal, during a time when he is enjoying a great run of form, which has seen him score twice in the last three games, against Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan.

Rosicky joined Arsenal in May 2006 from Borussia Dortmund and has featured 156 times for Arsène Wenger’s side since then, scoring 19 goals. In his 28 appearances so far this season, Rosicky has been a key fixture in the heart of the Gunners’ midfield.

On the international stage, the 31 year-old has played 85 times for the Czech Republic, representing his country at the European Championships in 2000 and 2004. He also featured in the 2006 World Cup, taking over the captain’s armband the same year.

Commenting on his new deal, Tomas said: “It’s a great honour to sign a new deal with Arsenal, I love the Club and am proud to wear the Arsenal shirt. It’s felt like home since I arrived six years ago and I couldn’t be happier to commit my future to the team. The manager, my team-mates, the staff and the supporters – everyone plays their part in making this a great Club, and I feel privileged to be a part of it. I believe we have a really talented group of players and, together with the manager, the future looks bright. It’s always been my goal to win trophies here at Arsenal, and I will fight hard to achieve my dreams here.”

Manager Arsène Wenger added: “I’ve always been a big admirer of Tomas’ abilities and am delighted he’s chosen to commit his future to the Club. I believe he is an exceptional player, a natural footballer who is technically top class. He plays the style of football we champion here and shares completely our philosophy. He is always ready to work for the sake of the Club, always willing to put the team first. I have huge respect for him.”

Everyone at the Club looks forward to Tomas’ continued contribution in the coming seasons.
