As always we are set for a whole host of transfer talk and probably little activity at Arsenal if Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has his way anyway.
Arsenal needs to strengthen this summer in a number of departments. For me, a new striker is still needed. It looks likely that Alexis Sanchez may leave and Spaniard Lucas Perez also seems set for the exit door.
That leaves Arsenal with Olivier Giroud and the fragile Danny Welbeck as striking options for next season. One option that could be available is Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard has been linked with a move to north London before and speculation is rife that he will leave the European champions this summer. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez put himself back into the race for the Premier League Golden Boot on Tuesday night with his brace against Sunderland in a 2-0 victory.
The win was not only vital for his team and kept them in the race for the Champions League spots, but also rather unexpectedly put him back in the running for the Premier League’s top scorer.
Going head-to-head with rival on Sunday
Ironically, the two goals put Sanchez just a goal behind Everton’s Romelu Lukaku on 23 goals. The Toffees forward has struggled for goals of late and has failed to score in his last four Premier League outings. .......Read more here.....

It seems that Everton striker Romelu Lukaku’s future on Merseyside is in doubt after it was revealed on Tuesday that he will not sign a new deal with the Toffees. It means that the Premier League’s top scorer could be available in the summer. The 23-year-old would definitely not be cheap to sign, but maybe he could be the answer to Arsenal’s striker conundrum.
A new striker a good place to start the rebuild
Arsenal fans have felt that the team has needed a top-class striker for the past few seasons. With big changes set to take place this summer, as the squad arguably needs a rebuild. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal missed the chance to move back to the top of the Premier League table on Wednesday night, as the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat at Everton.
Arsenal had the first real effort on goal on seven minutes. Nacho Monreal found an off-balance Mesut Ozil, who put an effort over the bar. Arsenal took the lead with the next shot on goal on 20 minutes.
Ashley Williams gave away a free-kick on the edge of the area and the resulting free-kick from Alexis Sanchez hit the Welsh international before beating Maarten Stekelenburg in the Toffees goal. On 28 minutes Enner Valencia headed an effort well over Petr Cech’s bar from a corner kick. .......Read more here.....

In-form Arsenal head to Merseyside to Everton’s Goodison Park on Tuesday night with the chance to return to the top of the Premier League table, at least for 24 hours anyway.
The home side are in disarray at the moment after a promising start to life under Dutch boss Ronald Koeman. The home side have won just one of their last ten Premier League games, suffering five defeats in the process, including a 3-2 defeat against Watford at Vicarage Road in their last outings. .......Read more here.....

Young Japanese striker Takuma Asano produced a brace in Sanfreece Hiroshima’s 4-2 defeat against Kashima Antlers in the J-League. The 21-year-old has agreed a summer move to Arsenal and the move will be ratified when the youngster undergoes a medical and his international clearance is granted.
The youngster is very much considered one for the future, but his record this season is decent, as he has scored nine times in 21 appearances for his current team. He has scored 27 goals in 93 senior appearances overall.
Unlikely to be playing first team next season .......Read more here.....

Arsenal are favourites with the bookmakers to sign Belgium and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to online bookmakers. With manager Arsene Wenger desperate for a prolific striker, and the side having begun pre-season, time is fast running out for the Londoners to bring in a goalscorer who can gel with the players with enough time to be fully fit for the coming campaign.
Lukaku has long been on the radar of Arsenal, with Wenger having shown a liking to the pace and power of the striker when Arsenal have come up against Everton. The Belgium international memorably scored against the Gunners in a previous Premier League meeting, and Lukaku’s strength proved to be a problem all through the game. .......Read more here.....

According to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, via Team Talk, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Everton and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.
The striker has endured mixed fortunes at the Euros and the report claims that a fee is yet to be agreed, which is likely to be a sticking point when Arsene Wenger and parting with money is concerned.
Decent striker with potential
Romelu Lukaku is certainly a work in progress as a striker, as sometimes he struggles to trap a bag of cement and other times he looks like he is Didier Drogba reincarnated (yes I know Didier is not dead yet, you know what I mean!) .......Read more here.....

Arsenal’s hunt for a new striker will continue after it was announced that Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new four-year deal with the Foxes.
The Gunners attempted to sign Vardy prior to Euro 2016 by activating a £20million in his contract and Vardy was believed to be mulling the move over while on international duty with France at Euro 2016.
Bigger and higher expectations at Arsenal
There are probably a few factors that may have made the striker snub a move to north London, but one of them may have been bigger expectations at the Emirates. .......Read more here.....

According the Metro, Arsenal are interested in signing Everton and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, with even claims that the Gunners have already opened talks with the Toffees about signing the former-Chelsea star.
Lukaku has enjoyed a mixed Euro 2016 with Belgian, producing a poor display against Italy, before scoring a brace against Republic of Ireland last time out.
Is highly-prolific in the Premier League
There is no doubt about it Lukaku is capable of being prolific in the Premier League, as for the past four seasons Lukaku has been impressive in front of goal, despite only being 23-years-old. He was the first player under the age of 21 to reach 50 Premier League goals. .......Read more here.....
