Arsene Wenger’s side have had two bids rejected for the 21-year-old and are believed to be preparing a third bid up to £50m. If Arsenal are successful in signing Lemar, they aren’t going to approach Mahrez. Roma, however, do want the latter as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who joined Liverpool.

In fact, Arsenal were reported to have had a bid of around £30m rejected last month. Monaco are attempting to ward off the Gunners interest by raising their asking price.

Lemar is regarded as one of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s main transfer targets this summer. The winger would add pace and direct running to the Gunners attack.

However, the rumour mill has now well and truly kicked in and Arsenal are being linked with some top players. Two of those players are Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, who would both no doubt add something to the Gunners team for next season.
