Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been named in the PFA Player of the Year shortlist for his form for the Gunners in 2016/17. The Chilean international has been Arsenal’s most influential player in all competitions, top scoring on all four fronts, but is an outsider to win the award given the outstanding performers at title-chasing Chelsea and Tottenham earning deserved recognition.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Mesut Ozil deserves to be named PFA Player of the Year for his outstanding season for assists. The German international has enjoyed his most productive years as the Gunners’ chief creator, and Wenger believes that puts him ahead of the rest of the competition.
Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez, West Ham’s Dimitri Payet and Tottenham’s Harry Kane have all been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award this season, but Ozil’s efficiency should put him ahead of the rest, according to his manager, as the German has created so many chances that haven’t been converted. .......Read more here.....

At the moment Arsenal’s German playmaker Mesut Ozil is one of the most impressive performers in the Premier League. Ozil was again the star of the show as the Gunners won 2-0 against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium to move to the top of the table.
The former-Real Madrid scored a goal and produced yet another assist and was also generally influential. Ozil is without doubt now the most influential Arsenal player and is one of the most in-form players in the top-flight.

Recent rumours of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger giving star player Alexis Sanchez a rest have not gone down well with the Chilean. Sanchez took to Instagram to offer those lacking energy some of his.
The former-Barcelona star played 90 minutes for Chile in their 3-0 defeat against Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night. He was a doubt for the clash with a calf problem, but apparently came through the game without a problem. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are set to shatter their wage structure by handing record-signing Mesut Ozil a new lucrative contract.
The 27-year-old joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013 for a club-record fee and the physical demands of the Premier League seemed to get the better of him in the early stages of his Arsenal career.
However, this season Gunners fans have seen the Germany international hit top form. The playmaker has produced ten assists in the Premier League, with eight of those coming in his last six appearances. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil was left out of Germany’s squad for the friendly international games against France and the Netherlands. His form certainly was not the reason, as German boss Joachim Low stated that the reason is that the Premier League does not have a winter break, obviously meaning Ozil needs a break.
The exclusion of Ozil from the Germany squad is a good thing for Arsenal, as the playmaker will be well rested by the time the Gunners visit West Brom next weekend. .......Read more here.....

According for Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Manchester united are attempting to pull-off a shock move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez. United boss Louis van Gaal is reported to have made contact with the Chilean and told him that he would be a key player for the Red Devils.

With the PFA Player of the Year award to be announced this weekend, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes forward Alexis Sanchez still has a chance of winning over favourite Eden Hazard (Chelsea), as the Chilean international has found his form at the tail-end of the season.
