Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola refused to rule out a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez when asked in a recent press conference, amid rumours the Sky Blues are lining up a £70m bid to prize the 28-year-old away from the Gunners before transfer deadline day, reports the Express.
Sanchez has turned down a contract extension from Arsenal, and is believed to be keen on leaving for a side with aspirations of winning major honours. The Gunners have only won the FA Cup since his 2014 move from Barcelona, sub standard for a player who has won the Copa America and La Liga title for country and club. .......Read more here.....

According to the Mirror, Arsenal will fight off interest from Manchester City for Alexis Sanchez this summer, with manager Arsene Wenger having the support of the board. City are believed to be lining up a £70m bid for the 28-year-old’s signature but the Gunners aren’t looking to sell for any price.
With Alexis having 12 months on his deal with Arsenal this summer, a number of clubs were keen on his signature – Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Manchester City, as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona. According to the Mirror, Manchester City are preparing a bid of around £70m to try and tempt Arsenal into selling Alexis Sanchez, after having a previous bid of £50m reportedly turned down. The Sky Blues have been keen on the Chilean’s signature for some time, with manager Pep Guardiola keen to renew acquaintances with the player he signed and managed for a year at Barcelona. According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has his pick of clubs this summer, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea reportedly keen on his signature. The England international, who has just 12 months left on his current deal, looks set to leave Arsenal as a result of a lack of playing time in his favourite position, but where will he go?
Liverpool still lead the race for the midfielder, with manager Jurgen Klopp a big fan of Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Arsenal player’s industry and creativity would see him fit into the Reds side and be a useful player for their Champions League campaign in 2017/18. AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe looks set for a move to La Liga champions Real Madrid after turning down interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City this summer. The French centre-forward has enjoyed a standout campaign in Ligue 1, helping his side to the title, and has been the subject of interest from a host of clubs.
According to the Metro, Real Madrid have won the race to sign Mbappe after Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola failed to convince the teenager to come to the Etihad Stadium. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger denied that Chile international could be sold to Premier League rivals, but Manchester City are prepared to test his resolve by an enticing offer.
The Citizens are reportedly ready to submit a £50 million that would also include Belgium international Jason Denayer in order to convince Wenger to sell his most prized asset.

On Sunday afternoon Arsenal face a crucial game in the race for the Champions League spots, as they host third-place Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners do not exactly head into this clash in great spirits, having suffered defeat in six of their last nine games in all competitions. Their poor run of form has seen them slip to sixth place in the English top-flight table.

Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium is a massive one in the fight for Champions League spots for next season.
Arsenal have been poor against the so called big teams this season and in recent history. However, the Gunners have a pretty decent record against City in recent years, as City have won just one of the last seven meetings between the pair.

Arsenal and England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has enjoyed a rather mixed time at Arsenal since a big-money move from Southampton. The youngster seems to have bags of ability but has flattered to deceive for much of his time in north London.
Now the Daily Mirror claims that both Manchester City and Everton are targeting moves for the midfielder in the summer.

As if the things could not have been worse after the hammering Champions League defeat at Allianz Arena, fresh rumours linking jack Wilshere to Manchester City are sure to be another huge blow for Arsenal fans.
North London club are not having the best week.
