It’s only been a week since the January transfer window was closed, but the rumour mill is still running in full speed as the media begin to speculate on summer dealings.
As usual, Arsenal are one of the main transfer topics and the latest reports coming from the British tabloid the Sun are claiming that Gunners are readying a move for the Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick.
The experienced 35-year-old has enjoyed a fine season under Jose Mourinho and is still managing to keep his place in the team despite the stiff competition for places in the stur-studded squad. .......Read more here.....

The Metro are claiming that Arsenal could make a move for Manchester United and England central midfielder Michael Carrick this summer. The 34-year-old has yet to be offered a new deal at United with his contract expiring this summer.
The Geordie midfielder had previously been linked with a move to North London in January, but he stayed put at Old Trafford.
Arsenal are likely to allow Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini leave the club this summer, so are looking for reinforcements in the central area of the pitch. .......Read more here.....

The Daily Mirror has suggested that Arsenal are considering a summer bid for Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, who is heavily linked with a summer move away from Old Trafford.
The long-serving footballer will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign and the mere fact that he has yet to be offered a new deal is enough to suggest that he might be allowed to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season.
If that happens, there will be quite a few Premier League clubs ready to make a move on the 34-year-old midfielder, and Daily Mirror claims that Arsenal are in the mix as well. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal are being linked with a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick the summer. The Mirror are claiming that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could make an attempt to sign the central midfielder this summer, when his contract expires.
The Mirror also claims that Gunners boss Wenger is a big fan of Carrick and has tried to sign the veteran former-England star on three separate occassions. With Carrick becoming a free agent this summer, the Frenchman may just make a move for the midfielder.
Carrick will no doubt be in-demand, but a move to another big club like Arsenal could be tempting for the former-Tottenham star. .......Read more here.....

Arsene Wenger has moved to defend star player Jack Wilshire against critics the midfielder has received following the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.
The 21-year-old started the crucial qualifier in Kiev, but found it hard to cope with the physical style of his opponents and was unable to produce what was expected of him.
He has since been the subject of heavy criticism from the press and many continue to doubt his ability to perform in big matches for his country. Nevertheless, his club boss Arsene Wenger is adamant Wilshire can go on to become an England great. .......Read more here.....
