On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Brighton at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi enough to give the Gunners three points.
Arsenal hit the front straight away and came close to taking the lead in the first two minutes. French striker Alexandre Lacazette smashed an effort from long-range against Mat Ryan’s post.
The visitors offered their first real threat on five minutes. Pascal Gross fired in a free kick, which saw Izzy Brown glance towards goal, but wide of Petr Cech’s left post. Arsenal started to dominate possession and Alexis Sanchez saw a low effort saved comfortably by Ryan.
