The future of Arsenal star man Alexis Sanchez is a hot topic in the United Kingdom as media speculate that the Chilean is edging closer to leaving Emirates at the end of the season.

Gunner’s main power force this season, Alexis Sanchez has been carrying the entire team on his back as Arsene Wenger’s charges sit on the verge of Champions League elimination and with their top four Premier League spot in real danger.

Arsenal are playing at Liverpool on Saturday and another potential blow would see them hand over the fourth place into the hands of Liverpool, and it is believed that Alexis Sanchez is growing increasingly frustrated with his team’s form.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Dortmund forward Marco Reus. The German is reportedly the Gunners number target if the side from north London lose Alexis Sanchez in the near future.

Sanchez is out-of-contract in the summer of 2018 and negotiations over a new contract for the Chilean seem to have stalled. The former Barcelona star is regarded as one of Arsenal’s key players, but the Gunners may be tempted to cash-in on the star in the summer if they cannot come to an agreement with Sanchez.

Highly-rated German international Marco Reus has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, predominantly to Arsenal, who are believed to be keen admirers of Reus’ talents.

The 27-year-old has been a mainstay for Bundesliga powerhouse ever since his 2012 return from Borussia Monchengladbach and has so far made over 100 league appearances for his boyhood club. Reus bagged 76 Bundesliga goals for BVB during the last four years which is quite an impressive tally for a wide player.

Marco Reus has however struggled with injuries over the past two season, with the recent ones preventing him from making it to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and France’s Euro 2016.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are set to rival Liverpool for the signing of Dortmund’s highly-rated attacking midfielder Marco Reus.

The Gunners have previously been linked with a move for Reus. In fact he seems to be linked with Arsenal every transfer window. He is no doubt a talented player, but his last few seasons have been interrupted by injuries and last season ankle trouble restricted his appearances.

The 26-year-old made 20 Bundesliga appearances for the German giants, scoring seven goals and producing five assists as Jurgen Klopp’s side struggled for the majority of the campaign. It was not his best campaign of his career, but he is still regarded as one of the best players in the German top-flight.

Arsenal continued to be linked with Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, and manager Arsene Wenger is certainly keen on him, but could the German international really be a Gunner next season?

Reus has endured a difficult season in the Bundesliga, as Jurgen Klopp’s side found themselves rock bottom of the division earlier on in the campaign. As a result, reports suggested the likes of Mats Hummels and Marco Reus would be the first two players to leave the Westfalenstadion, but the duo have since remained.

A draw in north London will mean that the German side win the group and Arsenal finish as runners-up. The Gunners would need to defeat Dortmund and hope the visitors lose against Anderlecht in their last fixture to win group D.

Arsene Wenger side have not won in their last three games in all competitions, and have suffered 2-1 defeats against Swansea and Manchester United, while also drawing 3-3 with Anderlecht in this competition.

Reports from the Express are revealing Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus has stalled on signing a new deal with the Bundesliga runners-up as he’s awaiting Premier League interest.

The German international, 25, has a release clause in his contract that is set to drop to £20M at the end of the season, and the Bundesliga club are desperately trying to tie him down to a long-term deal, rather than risk losing him for a below value price as they did with Robert Lewandowski.
