Arsenal plotting bid for Nabil Fekir 0

Posted on November 10, 2017 by Milos Markovic

It’s not an old piece of news but the transfer rumour mill has once again picked up on a lead that Lyon star Nabil Fekir could be on his way to London.

Arsene Wenger is said to be back in the race to sign the 24-year-old versatile attacking midfielder who can fill in various roles up in the final third.

Fekir has made a scintillating start to the new season in France with Lyon and already has 12 goals on his tally in merely 15 games. Having emerged as one of the most lethal players in the French top flight, Fekir has turned plenty of heads, including Arsene Wenger’s.

14/1 for Lacazette to win the Golden Boot after double against the Baggies 0

Alexandre Lacazette arrived at Arsenal in the summer as a goal-machine from his time with Lyon in Ligue One. On Monday night, the French striker scored a brace in the Gunners 2-0 victory over West Brom at the Emirates Stadium.

The double means that Lacazette has now scored four Premier League goals in his six top-flight appearances this season, one of which was a cameo appearance off the bench at Liverpool.

Proving doubters wrong

The French international has certainly continued where he left in his native league this season. There were question marks over whether he could be prolific in a higher standard of league. However, those doubts seem to be unfounded at the moment.

Alexandre Lacazette could be a Golden Boot contender 0

I have to admit that I have had my reservations about Arsenal signing French striker Alexandre Lacazette. However, having taken a closer look at his goalscoring statistics from his Lyon career it is hard to not get excited by his signing.

The Frenchman has scored 129 times and produced 43 assists in his 275 appearances for OL, which is definitely a decent record even if he has been playing in Ligue One.

At 26 years-old Lacazette should be entering the peak years of his football career. He has many years left to bang goals in for the Gunners. Strikers generally peak in their mid to late twenties and enjoy their best years in front of goal.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Olympique Lyonnais striker Alexandre Lacazette for a fee believed to be around £46m. The French international is a club-record acquisition and will bolster the strike force ahead of the new season. Lacazette has been a transfer target of Arsenal’s for many years and the Gunners have finally procured his signature.

“We are very happy to have Alexandre join our group. He has shown over a number of years that he can score goals and that he is a very efficient finisher. As well, he has very interesting technical qualities and a strong character. So he is a guy who is a great addition for us, and someone who will help us challenge at the top level this season,” said manager Arsene Wenger to the club’s official website.

Will signing Lacazette mean the end of Giroud at Arsenal? 1

It seems that Arsenal are in fact close to the signing of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, as the French clubs president Jean-Michel Aulas has told French media outlet Le Progres : “Alexandre Lacazette’s transfer to Arsenal could be actioned within the next day or two.

“The figure reported by the English media of around €67m (including €12m in add-ons) is impossible and not realistic. Arsenal’s first offer was around €45m, the transfer will be concluded in the range of €45m to €50m.”

No chance of Arsenal paying £125million for Kevin Mbappe 1

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Arsenal are set to launch a world-record £125million bid for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe this summer.

The story seems like a fairytale from a journalist with too much time on his hands or after a few too many drinks. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hates to part with money, so for the French boss to part with that sort of money for one player, albeit a highly rated player seems ridiculous.

Arsenal are in talks to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Sky Sports. The striker has consistently been linked with a move to the Gunners over the last few transfer windows. The Sky report suggests the striker is available for around £44million.

Might actually join Arsenal this time

I know we have heard these reports before about strikers, especially Lacazette in recent transfer windows and nothing has come of them. However, Sky Sports are usually a solid source when it comes to transfers.

Arsenal learn Lacazette price 0

North London clubs have reignited interest in Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette as Arsene Wenger continues his search for reinforcement for his front line.

With Olivier Giroud being constantly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium and Alexis Sanchez on verge of Arsenal departure, the Gunners boss wants to make sure he adds a quality, big-name signing to his squad.

And according to reports coming from the Telegraph, the Gunners have rekindled their interest in Lyon forward Lacazette. Talks between Arsenal and their French counterparts have already been held and Arsene Wenger is thought to have been informed about the price for a striker he wanted to bring to Arsenal last year.

Should Arsenal consider allowing Giroud to leave this summer? 0

According to the Metro, French club Lyon have enquired about the availability of Arsenal and France striker Olivier Giroud. This comes as the Gunners have reportedly been in talks with OL over a big money for another France international Alexandre Lacazette.

The report does not suggest that Arsenal’s bid for Lacazette depends on Giroud joining the French club. However, it would be an interesting scenario, as the French club are reported holding out for an initial fee of around £48million, with a possible £10million more in add-ons, which is big money.

Arsenal set to renew interest in Lacazette 1

Posted on June 13, 2017 by David Nugent

According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. The paper claims that the Gunners have been in touch with the striker’s current club to hold talks over a potential deal that could cost the north London club close to £60million.

The French international is one of a plethora of strikers seemingly linked with the club on a bi-annual basis. His name is usual in the same category of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain when it came to Arsenal being linked with strikers.
