Striker Lucas Perez is unhappy with his current status at Arsenal and is reported to be seeking a way out of the club at the end of the season.

Serious lack of playing time has left Spaniard disgruntled and disillusioned with his future at Arsenal which ultimately led to a revelation that he would consider moving back to Deportivo La Coruna in the summer.

The 28-year-old striker managed only three starts for the Gunners in the Premier League and Champions League this season and he feels such a limited involvement has not helped him progress as a footballer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has provided important team news update while speaking at a press conference ahead of the Premier League highly-anticipated showdown with Manchester United.

Gunners boss confirmed that Swiss international midfield Granit Xhaka has been ruled out of the clash after failing to recover from an ankle blow received in the north London derby defeat last week.

Xhaka was forced off in the second half of the 2-0 defeat by Tottenham, but the 64 minutes he got to spend on the pitch against Spurs were widely disappointing. Arsenal midfielder was one of many players who played well below par in last Sunday’s matchup.

Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, agent of Lucas Perez, claims the Arsenal man hasn’t spoken to any club about a summer exit and is instead focused on seeing out the season with the Gunners. Perez, signed from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, has been linked with a return to the Estadio Riazor after a disappointing debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium, but Lovelle has refuted such claims.

Arsenal’s Spanish striker Lucas Perez is set for a summer return to former club Deportivo La Coruna, according to the Daily Star.

Lucas only arrived at Arsenal last summer from Deportivo for a reported fee of around £17million. The Gunners snatched the striker out of the grasp of Premier League rivals Everton.

However, Lucas has failed to get much of a chance in north London and it seems he could make a loan move back to his former club.

Arsenal injury update ahead of Man City clash 0

Posted on April 02, 2017 by Crippy Cooke

Arsenal have just three absentees ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Manchester City, with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil both expected to be fit to start. Lucas Pérez is out with a thigh injury, goalkeeper Petr Čech is suffering from a calf strain and Santi Cazorla has his ongoing battle with an achilles injury.

It means the Gunners don’t have any issues with squad selection as only Petr Cech needs replacing from the first-team but has a fine deputy in David Ospina – who has been used in the Champions League this season – between the sticks. Despite Perez’ absence, Arsenal are blessed with attacking options – Olivier Giroud and Alex Sanchez as options up front, while Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can play on either flank.

Arsenal outcast Lucas Perez is reportedly the subject of interest from West Ham United, who are desperate to bolster their fleeting attack for the 2017/18 season. The Spanish forward has bene surplus to requirements in his debut season at the Emirates Stadium and may be open to a move to a club willing to give him more opportunities.

Signed from Spanish La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna last summer, Lucas Perez has made 21 appearances (491 minutes) in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring and creating nine goals. He’s only started in nine games across the board which makes his goal output all the more impressive, and as he’s behind the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott in the pecking order, he may be allowed to speak to other clubs in the summer.

Could Lucas Perez lead the line against Lincoln? 0

Arsenal striker Lucas Perez was overlooked when manager Arsene Wenger had to replace Danny Welbeck minutes before Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, but the Spaniard is expected to feature in Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Lincoln City.

Perez has been reduced to substitute appearances all season after signing from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer, but he has performed well in recent weeks that may have edged himself higher up the pecking order. The Arsenal No.9 has scored and created four goals in his last nine appearances (372 minutes), and netted in the previous round of the FA Cup.

Could Ox, Welbeck or Perez replace Iwobi for Liverpool clash? 1

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has enjoyed a breakthrough season, leapfrogging the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott in the pecking order, but his recent form has wavered which could see him making way ahead of Saturday’s trip to face Liverpool. The 20-year-old greatly underperformed against Sutton United in last Monday’s FA Cup clash, and finds his place at risk due to a lack of output in 2017 – ten games, one goal and two assists.

Arsenal forward Lucas Perez says he’s settling in London thanks to the help of his teammates, and is enjoying living in the capital after a nomadic career up to this point. There’s still speculation surrounding his future with the Gunners, but Perez spoke out about his experience in the city and how different it’s been to his past in Greece and Ukraine.

“My team-mates have made various recommendations. As most have been here a while, they know the city well so can give good advice about beautiful places to visit and interesting things to do. I’ve spoken a lot with the other Spanish players here at Arsenal. They know the kind of things that me and my family might like and have made really helpful suggestions,” he said.

Arsenal recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sutton United in the fifth round of the FA Cup courtesy of goals from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott.

It took until the 16th minute for the first attempt on goal. Jeff Reine-Adelaide got to the byline and found Mohamed Elneny on the edge of the area. The Egyptian international proceeded to fire over the bar with his effort.

Soon afterwards the home side had a penalty appeal turned down, as Craig Eastmond went down in the penalty area, only for Michael Oliver to wave away the appeals. Arsenal had a chance to take the lead, but Nacho Monreal was denied by Sutton keeper.
