As transfers go, this one could be pretty much perfect. Arsenal need a new centre-half, and West Brom are in desperate need of reinforcements as their campaign is threatening to end in relegation from the Premier League this season.

It has been reported in recent days that Arsenal are looking to sign West Brom’s Jonny Evans with the defensive failings of the side constantly threatening to derail the team. According to the Telegraph, Arsenal have joined Manchester City and Leicester City in the race to sign West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans. The 29-year-old was reported to be a target for the Gunners 12 months but Arsenal failed in their pursuit to procure his signature.
