Former-Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit has questioned the upturn in form of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, as he believes the pair have their eyes set on the transfer window to come.

Arsenal were incredibly unfortunate not to win a thrilling Premier League battle with Machester United at the weekend as the Gunners went down 3-1. Former Arsenal midfielder and football pundit Emmanuel Petit is hoping AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe will join Arsenal this summer. The French international has enjoyed a standout campaign at the Stade Louis II and is coveted by a number of clubs in Europe – Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Scoring 15 goals in 17 Ligue 1 starts for Monaco last season, having led the club to the title and Champions League semi-final. He’s one of many players expected to leave in the next 12 months and Petit hopes Arsenal are the beneficiary. “Mbappe is the leader of this generation,” he said on talkSPORT, reports the Daily Star.

Early
