Bellerin to replace Oxlade-Chamberlain for Stoke clash 0

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is set to be recalled for the injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Stoke City. The Spanish international has been on the periphery in recent weeks, having been dropped due to poor form, but is expected to return in a right wing-back role this weekend. His manager hinted as much after Wednesday’s win over Southampton.

Bellerin was axed from the starting eleven after manager Arsene Wenger adopted a 3-4-2-1 formation, playing second fiddle to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. But with the English midfielder now ruled out for the Stoke City with a hamstring injury, his Spanish counterpart will deputise. There had been question marks over Bellerin’s attacking quality in a wing-back role, but his manager has defended him ahead of Saturday’s trip to the Bet365 Stadium.
