Arsenal suffer fifth straight away league defeat at Newcastle 0

On Sunday, Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle, to continue their terrible run of form away from home in the Premier League.

Arsenal had the first effort of the game as striker Alexandre Lacazette miss-hit a shot wide of goal. The home side responded on ten minutes, as Petr Cech produced a comfortable save from a Kenedy strike.

The Gunners took the lead on 14 minutes. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ran at Jamaal Lascelles before putting the ball past the defender. The Gabon international then found Lacazette at the far post, who slides in to put the ball past Dubravka in the home goal.

Arsenal produced a narrow 1-0 win against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with a sublime Mesut Ozil effort the difference in the game.

The Gunners had the first attempt on goal on three minutes. Alexandre Lacazette played a one-two with Alex Iwobi before firing a low drive towards goal that Rob Elliot got down to save.

At the other end of the pitch, Petr Cech had to be alive to save Jamaal Lascelles far post header. Full-back DeAndre Yedlin saw an effort from 20 yards out fly well over the bar from the resulting corner kick.

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium, as Laurent Koscielny grabs only goal of the game.

The first attempt on goal came from the visitors on three minutes. Hector Bellerin found Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the midfielder dragged an effort wide of goal after failing to make decent contact with it.

Arsenal ‘keeper Petr Cech was called into action on 16 minutes. The Czech stopper parried a header from Georginio Wijnaldum header, the rebound fell to Aleksandar Mitrovic who found Jack Colback and the midfielder fired straight at Cech.

The international break usually produces some interesting transfer talk and Fichajes.net are claiming that Arsenal are interested in signing Newcastle’s Spanish forward Ayoze Perez.

He 22-year-old joined the Magpies from second tier Spanish side Tenerife in the summer of 2014 and proceeded to produce impressive form, after reportedly turning down moves to the likes Real Madrid, Barcelona and Porto in favour of a better chance of first team football in England top-flight.

This season the former Spanish under-21 international has scored three goals in eight starts for the Magpies, including scoring the winner last time out against Bournemouth. Perez has recently revealed that he feels he is close to fulfilling his dream of a senior international call-up.

Arsenal claimed a 2-1 victory at Newcastle’s St James Park on Saturday, with Olivier Giroud scoring a brace and Moussa Sissoko grabbing the Magpies goal.

The game enjoyed a lively start and it was the hosts who threatened goal first on three minutes. Moussa Sissoko broke and found Ayoze Perez, who cut inside the box, only for his effort on goal to be well blocked.

On 13 minutes the Gunners attacked the home side’s goal. A free-kick found Alexis Sanchez at the far post, but the Chilean’s low effort was deflected wide of goal. On 17 minutes, Sissoko headed over the bar, after Gunners keeper David Ospina had come out of his goal.

Arsenal put four past Newcastle at the Emirates 1

Arsenal claimed a 4-1 victory over Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday’s late kick-off, with Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla both scoring braces.

The home side came close to taking the lead on eight minutes, as Per Mertesacker’s powerful effort from a Santi Cazorla corner smashed against the underside of the bar. The Gunners did take the lead on 15 minutes though.

Alexis Sanchez fired a superb cross into the area and found Olivier Giroud, who leaped superbly and buried a header beyond young Jak Alnwick in the Newcastle goal. A minute later and Danny Welbeck had a goal rather harshly ruled out for a foul on Daryl Janmaat.
