Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he “100% expects” midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to stay at the Emirates Stadium for at least one more season, despite rumours of a £25m bid from Liverpool, reports The Sun. The England midfielder will be out of contract next summer and is reportedly keen to switch to Merseyside as manager Jurgen Klopp greatly admires him as a player.
Wenger, however, is not so sure. “100% expect him to stay, no matter what happens he will stay,” he said. Oxlade-Chamberlain was impressive for Arsenal last season. According to the Metro and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic in a swap deal involving England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Matic is seemingly in-demand this summer, with the likes of Juventus, Inter and Manchester United reportedly hoping to sign the Serbian star. However, it seems Arsenal have now emerged as a very viable destination for the 28-year-old.
The former Benfica star may find himself pushed down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues are reported to be close to signing Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko. He is believed to be looking for an escape route from the English champions. .......Read more here.....

Liverpool have made a direct enquiry about Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Daily Mirror.
The club from Merseyside have been linked continually with a move for the England international in recent months.
It seems they have now made their move for the former Southampton star, who is rated in the £25million-bracket.
May be willing to sell this summer

The England international, who has just 12 months left on his current deal, looks set to leave Arsenal as a result of a lack of playing time in his favourite position, but where will he go?
Liverpool still lead the race for the midfielder, with manager Jurgen Klopp a big fan of Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Arsenal player’s industry and creativity would see him fit into the Reds side and be a useful player for their Champions League campaign in 2017/18. The England midfielder has just a year left on his contract in north London. Reports have emerged that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not exactly doing everything in his power to keep the midfielder at the club.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be ready to commit his future to the club and sign a new deal with the team from north London.
The England international has just 12 months left on his contract with Arsenal and media speculation was linking the midfielder with the likes Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to rejected interest from Liverpool this summer and sign a new long-term deal with the Gunners, according to reports from the Metro. Arsenal are believed to have offered Oxlade-Chamberlain a deal worth around £5million-a-year and may have given him assurances over playing time in the future.
The English international, who has successful played at right wing-back, left wing-back, central midfield and on both wings, has been a transfer target for the Merseysiders all season and his failure to nail down a starting place in his favourite position nearly led to the Ox to exiting the Emirates. Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training and available for selection ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea. However, the English international has missed the Gunners’ last handful of games and has seen Hector Bellerin successfully deputise in his absence. So who will get the nod this weekend?
