Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was honest in his interview after the Gunners earned a narrow victory over relegation-threatened Middlesbrough on Monday night, admitting the players had let standards slip during their woeful run of form.
The Gunners had lost five of their last eight Premier League games ahead of the trip to the Riverside Stadium, recently suffering a 3-0 defeat away to Crystal Palace which has all but ended their chances of a top-four finish.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been left out of the starting lineup of late but could return to the XI in Monday’s trip to face Middlesbrough given the disjointed performances from the Gunners of late. Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny underperformed in the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, and given Arsenal’s desperation to stop the rot may see Oxlade-Chamberlain called upon to inject some urgency to their build-up play. .......Read more here.....

When Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain arrived at Arsenal from Southampton in 2011 he was one of the brightest young players in the English game. Gunners fans would have that he would go from strength-to-strength and become a top player at the north London club.
Fast forward nearly six years and Oxlade-Chamberlain is a peripheral figure in the first team. At 23, he is in and out of the Gunners starting line-up. What is worse is that the Gunners are playing poorly and yet he still is not starting games on a regular basis.

The 23-year-old England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is thought to be ready to quit Arsenal at the end of the season.
Ox is cutting a frustrating figure at the Emirates this season with the winger being used sporadically by Arsene Wenger and, in most cases, is being forced to play as a midfielder.
Unsettled by his limited playing time and the fact he is being forced out of his natural position, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is considering his options as the likes of Liverpool and most recently Manchester United look his way. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted he’s desperate for midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to commit his future to the club with the English international approaching the final 12 months of his contract. Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed for the Gunners this season but wants to be a first-team regular as he turns 24 in August.
Reports have suggested that he’s the subject of a lot of interest given his strengths in central midfield, and his manager said it’s “vital” the club do everything in their power to keep him. “I personally think it is vital that Chamberlain stays at Arsenal. We bought him when he was very young, we have built him up and I think he has a great mentality and a good football brain. Arsenal recorded a crucial 3-0 victory over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night to aid the Gunners hopes of Champions League qualification.
Arsenal had the first effort on goal on four minutes, as Alexis Sanchez hit an effort from 35 yards out that went high and wide of goal.
The Hammers hit back with their own attack on nine minutes. Manuel Lanzini hit a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area that missed the target by a yard. Manchester United are monitoring the situations of Arsenal pair Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Metro.
The reports suggest that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is looking at adding to his midfield options in the summer, with Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ozil being two players of interest to the Portuguese boss.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain picked up a thigh injury in Saturday’s 5-0 win over Lincoln City, coming off after 27 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, and may miss out of Saturday’s upcoming trip to face West Bromwich Albion. Arsenal are 13/20 to win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, but the Ox will be disappointed to miss out.
The 23-year-old has recently played himself into the side after an impressive run of form but his latest setback could disrupt his chances of returning to the side when deemed match fit. According to a report from ESPN, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to leave Emirates in the summer.
England international was apparently willing to part ways with Gunners during the January transfer window but a move was blocked by the Arsenal management.
Sources now claim that Oxlade-Chamberlain will keep persisting on departure as he is determined to reignite his career out of the North London club. In recent weeks, months and even years people have questioned Arsene Wenger’s position as Arsenal boss. Those questions have once again raised after the Gunners 5-1 hammering at home to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
The defeat at the Emirates Stadium meant that the Gunners suffered a 10-2 aggregate loss against the German champions. Wenger quite rightly talked about the official’s poor decisions against Bayern, but he needs to take a share of the responsibility.
