Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has seemingly admitted he’s keen to leave the club this summer in search of a side in the Champions League. The 28-year-old was speaking with Chile’s Radio Sport, and said: “I have made my decision, but now the decision has to be taken by Arsenal.”
“It depends on them. I have to wait to know what they want. My idea is to play and win the Champions League. It’s a dream I have had since I was little.” This news comes not long after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted Sanchez would be staying at the club this coming season, suggesting a new deal could be on the horizon.
With Manchester City and Bayern Munich keen on his signature, while Sanchez has just 12 months on his contract, Arsenal are in a difficult position. They stand more chance of success with the Chilean in the side, but are potentially losing out on up to £50m by not selling him.
Sanchez was outstanding for the Gunners last season, scoring and creating 43 goals in all competitions. Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League, meaning they will play Europa League football in 2017/18 which is why the player is considering his future.
Nevertheless, Alexis Sanchez is 3/4 to stay at Arsenal this summer.
