Arsenal have been in fine form recently as they have climbed up the table in impressive fashion in recent weeks. What is equally impressive is their apparent dealings in the transfer window, with one deal in particular catching the imagination of the fans.
Arsenal have embarked on a decent run of form of late as they have claimed two very impressive wins in a row. First, they were able to brush Tottenham aside, with their arch-rivals no match for the Gunners on the day.
Their second win came via a late Alexis Sanchez penalty, as Arsene Wenger’s men beat Burnley 1-0. While it may not have been the prettiest of wins, it was a win nonetheless, with the Gunners showing off their newfound backbone.
Their victories took them into fourth-place before their round of midweek games, and they are looking far more likely to secure a Champions League place. This will enable the club to attract the best players in the world, with most desperate to play in Europe’s top competition.
However, Lyon’s Nabil Fekir has been heavily linked with the London side even though they are not currently in the Champions League.
Starsport are reporting that Fekir is a £60 million target of the Gunners, and TransferMarketWeb are claiming that Fekir is becoming increasingly likely to sign for the London side, which has all been reported by the Daily Star.
While this may prove to be just noise, a move for Fekir, who has been outstanding in Ligue 1 this season, could prove to be a huge step forward for the Gunners.
