The 23-year-old England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is thought to be ready to quit Arsenal at the end of the season.
Ox is cutting a frustrating figure at the Emirates this season with the winger being used sporadically by Arsene Wenger and, in most cases, is being forced to play as a midfielder.
Unsettled by his limited playing time and the fact he is being forced out of his natural position, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is considering his options as the likes of Liverpool and most recently Manchester United look his way.
Reports this week are claiming that Liverpool have not been put off by Arsenal’s £35 million valuation of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Jurgen Klopp convinced that his English core – Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner – will play a fundamental part in convincing the 23-year-old to join up at the end of the season.
However, the latest reports indicate that Jose Mourinho has also joined the chase for Ox.
Manchester United have already been linked with possible moves for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez this summer, as Jose Mourinho was thought to have even contacted the Chilean superstar over a possible summer move to Old Trafford.
Should Mourinho manage to sing any of the three – let alone all three – Arsenal first-team members, it would not only be a huge blow for Arsenal, but for Arsene Wenger himself, who is not enjoying the best of relationships with the Portuguese tactician.
