Premier League outfit Arsenal could end up losing more players than they would have expected this summer.
Much of the Arsenal-related transfer stories revolved around futures of star player Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who are yet to put pen to paper on new deals with the Gunners. The former has been a particularly hot transfer topic with Bayern Munich reportedly willing to go as high as €100 million for the Chilean star.
However, a couple of more players such as David Ospina, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud have also made headlines with speculation about their potential moves away from Emirates.
But little did anyone suspect that Gunners could soon lose one of their key men in defence, Laurent Koscielny.
The Gunners star joined in 2010 from Lorient to establish himself as one of the best centre-halves at the Emirates Stadium. Koscielny won three FA Cup trophies in seven years with the north London club, but the latest reports claim that Ligue 1 side Marseille are keen to land him this summer.
And although Koscielny insists ‘there is nothing concrete’ regarding Marseille’s desire to land him, but has refused to rule out a potential future move to one of his favourite clubs.
“I have always said that I was a Marseille fan when I was younger. When a mythical club like Marseille contact you, it is good. But will I sign for them? I have no idea at all.”, Koscielny told Daily Mirror.
