According to Le10 Sport, Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has been targeted by an unnamed Chinese club, who are looking to unsettle the Frenchman and prize him away from the Emirates Stadium to the Chinese Super League. Koscielny has been at Arsenal for seven years since his move from Lorient, making 290 appearances for the Gunners.
But he could be on his way out if reports are to be believed…..
The 31-year-old has also been linked with Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille this summer, a side who are looking to spend big on French talent to help their push for a league title next season. However, Koscielny hasn’t made any suggestion that he’s unhappy at Arsenal and seeking a move. It’s unlikely he would leave the side for a project without guarantee of success so late in his career.
Last season, Koscielny made 33 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, scoring two goals. He’s still believed to be one of the best central defenders in the division and remains key at the back for the Gunners. His absence led to his side crumbling on the pitch and with three years left on his current contract, it’s unlikely the defender will be departing Arsenal any time soon.
