Serie A giants Inter Milan are said to be eyeing up a potential January move for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
Different media outlets from Italy are citing English sources claiming that Gunners are prepared to let the 28-year-old English international leave this winter.
Walcott has indeed found his playing time severely limited this season and could be looking for a quick way out in order to kick start his career and improve his chances of making it into England squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Theo Walcott played the total of 46 minutes of Premier League football this season although he did make an impression in Cup competitions.
Arsenal winger scored a winning goal in a Carabao Cup clash against Doncaster earlier in September and added a brace in his team’s 4-2 Europa League triumph at BATE but his scoring exploits were still not enough for more than 20 minutes against Brighton last time out.
Walcott is under contract with Arsenal until 2019 but the Italian media believe Gunners would allow him to leave during the January transfer market.
Inter Milan are looking for reinforcements in attack and have identified Walcott as one of the main targets alongside former Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira who could be arriving on loan from China.
Italian media claim Inter Milan has been nurturing a long-term interest in the Arsenal man who could arrive as a direct replacement for Chelsea target Antonio Candreva.
