Arsenal were able to take all three points from their clash with Burnley on Sunday as their Premier League encounter ended in a 1-0 win. Following the tough match, Hector Bellerin took a swipe at Watford’s Troy Deeney.
It was not the prettiest of wins, but it was a win nonetheless, as Arsenal found a way past their stubborn hosts. It took them a long time to find the back of the net though, with Alexis Sanchez converting a last-gasp penalty to give the Gunners all three points.
The victory has allowed Arsene Wenger’s men to climb up to fourth-place following 1-1 draws for both Liverpool and Tottenham, while Chelsea are now just a single point above. All things considered, it was a very good weekend for Arsenal.
Their recent upturn in form has allowed the players and fans to rediscover their confidence, whilst also giving the team a chance to prove a lot of their critics wrong.
One person that was very vocal about Arsenal was Watford’s Troy Deeney, as he accused the Gunners of lacking ‘cojones’. His comments saw the London side rekindle their form and go on a winning run, while they have managed to win two in two in the league following their loss to Manchester City.
This has led defender Hector Bellerin to post a picture on social media with the caption: “Last minute winner? Some would say we have cojones!!!”
Bellerin’s comments were a very thinly veiled reply to Deeney, with the Gunners finding top form in recent weeks.
