Hector Bellerin has lauded Arsenal’s creativity after the London club returned to form with a very impressive 5-1 win over Everton on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium in their Premier League clash.
Arsenal were able to erase their disappointing 3-1 loss at the hands of Swansea last week as they dismantled Everton in a 5-1 win. Aaron Ramsey struck a hat-trick while Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completed the scoring. Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan impressed on their home debuts as Arsene Wenger saw some of the pressure that had been mounting on him relieved.
The win has allowed the Gunners to close the gap on fifth-placed Tottenham to four points after Spurs drew 2-2 with Liverpool on Sunday. Arsenal’s next game sees them take on their London rivals in what is a huge game for both sides. Should Arsenal win, then they will move to within a single point of Tottenham, while a defeat would see Spurs increase the gap between the two sides to seven points.
It is therefore vital that Arsenal win the game as they are running out of remaining matches to catch up with the sides in the top four of the Premier League. Following the win, defender Hector Bellerin seemed very confident as the Mirror reported that he said: “When you play in a game like today and you see the players we have up front and the players on the bench who can come on, you’re thinking of the creativity and the electricity they bring into the team and it is something very rare to find in any other team”.
Arsenal’s forwards were outstanding against Everton who were not ever given a chance to get into the game. With Arsenal looking blunt in recent weeks, their 5-1 dismantling of the Toffees was a welcome return to form for their front-line.
