Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has been attracting plenty of attention around Europe as the 26-year-old is looking to leave the King Power Stadium before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.
The Algeria international has been released from international duty in attempt to finalize his future, knowing he formally handed in a transfer request earlier in the summer.
Mahrez was reportedly promised by club officials Leicester City would not stand in his way this summer, but the Foxes star still failed to solve his situation during the entire summer during which he was strongly linked with a move to Serie A giants AS Roma. Giallorossi, however, failed in their £32 million bid for the Foxes winger earlier this summer and are thought to be out of the race.
He was with Algeria squad preparing for their game against Zambia on Saturday, but the Algerian FA allowed him to leave. The winger has been spotted in Paris this morning, the main route back to Europe and England where the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United are all prepared to snatch him for a reasonable price.
PSG and Barcelona have also been touted as potential destinations for the 2015/2016 PFA Player of the Year although the bookies have installed Arsenal as favourites to land Mahrez at 5/2 betting odds.
The Gunners could land Mahrez as a direct replacement for Alexis Sanchez and/or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is on his way to Liverpool.
Riyad Mahrez is said to be keen to remain in England as his wish is to play for a ‘top-six club’, which obviously includes Arsenal.
Mahrez played in every league game for Leicester this season. He provided two assists in three outings thus far.
