Detailing the 12 Arsenal players away on international duty

Arsenal have 12 players away on international duty this week which doesn’t help manager Arsene Wenger given he’s been desperate to turn the side’s poor form around but can’t work on training with all the squad.

The Gunners boss is also sweating on the fitness of his two key players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil who are both expected to feature for Chile and Germany respectively despite not being 100%.

So who else is away for the international break?

Goalkeeper David Ospina is with Colombia for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia on March 23 and Ecuador on March 28.
Defender Rob Holding joins the England U21s for an upcoming friendly against Germany U21s.
Defender Shkodran Mustafi and playmaker Mesut Ozil and will turn out for the Germany national team in a friendly against England on March 22 and a World Cup qualifier at Azerbaijan on March 26.
Defender Laurent Koscielny and striker Olivier Giroud are in the France squad for a World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg on March 25 and a friendly with Spain on March 28.
Midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been called up by Wales for their World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland on March 24.
Midfielder Granit Xhaka joins the Switzerland national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifier with Latvia on March 25.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is in the England squad for their friendly with Germany on March 22 and their World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on March 26.
Mohamed Elneny has been called up by Egypt ahead of their friendly match against Togo on March 28.
Alex Iwobi will turn out for Nigeria for their friendlies against Senegal on March 23 and Burkina Faso on March 27.
Alexis Sanchez is in the Chile squad despite a recent injury and could play in their World Cup qualifiers against Argentina on March 23 and Venezuela on March 28.
