Bayern Munich step up chase for Alexis Sanchez

It’s the news any Arsenal fan would not want to hear after a disappointing Premier League season and just ahead an important clash for their team.

With Arsenal players preparing to go head to head against newly-crowned champions Chelsea in the highly-anticipated FA Cup final this weekend, Alexis Sanchez’s agent is busy doing meetings.

The Chilean’s representative is thought to be engaged in talks with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich with Chilean newspaper El Mercurio claiming that Fernando Felicevich has already in Germany for a round of negotiations with Bavarian giants.

Bundesliga heavyweights are nurturing a long-standing admiration for the Chilean star, who could be set to join his international teammate Arturo Vidal at the Allianz Arena this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are reportedly prepared to offer as much as £50 million to Arsenal, whereas they are also ready to present Sanchez with a contract worth £11 million a season.

Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester City are also keen on Alexis Sanchez but any potential sale to a league competitor would be rejected by the Arsenal board and Bayern Munich are confident they will be able to wrap up the deal.

The Bavarians are preparing for a busy summer as they look to revamp their squad and create new foundations for the future. With captain Philipp Lahm and veteran midfielder Xabi Alonso already gone, Bayern Munich will work hard to rebuild their side.

Bayern have already secured the signings of Hoffenheim duo – Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule – whereas they have also made Kingsley Coman’s loan deal from Juventus permanent and the club’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is promising an even stronger transfer summer.

“We’ve already discussed the transfer policy with Carlo and the board and decided on targets. Next season we’ll have a team that’s more than capable of challenging for titles again.”, Rummenigge told Bayern’s official website.

Will Alexis Sanchez move to Bayern Munich this summer?
