Arsenal wantaway midfield maestro Mesut Ozil has another club lined up in an effort to sign him.
The German international is reportedly offered a chance to return to La Liga with Spanish heavyweights Atletico Madrid said to have already made contact with the 29-year-old playmaker.
Former Real Madrid star is nearing the end of his deal with Arsenal and with no deal in sight over a contract extension at the Emirates, Gunners could opt to cash in on the World Cup winner in order to risk losing him on the free deal at the end of the season.
The Sun reports Arsenal now look determined to sell Ozil who is a target for several clubs.
The Gunners midfielder has been linked with a reunion with his former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils are said to be keen on Atletico Madrid starlet Saul Niguez instead, who is seen as a long-term investment for Manchester United.
Niguez is seen as a more energetic version of inconsistent Ozil and could be on his way to Manchester with British media claiming that United are working on lowering his buyout clause which currently stands at £134 million.
In the meantime, Atletico Madrid have reportedly approached Ozil in an effort to land the German midfielder as a direct replacement for Niguez.
Diego Simeone is reportedly prepared to offer Ozil a deal worth £200,000 a weak which is considerably less than £330,000 the German allegedly requested from Arsenal.
Atletico Madrid are, however, prepared to wait until the end of the season and sweeten the entire deal by throwing in a huge signing on fee they believe would be enough to compensate for a lower weekly wage.
