Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic has been linked with a possible move to Arsenal, according to reports from the Italian media.
The Croatian striker is said to be pondering his future with Serie A champions as he remains frustrated with his current situation with Bianconeri.
Mandzukic is a natural centre forward and his tall build make him a perfect target man, but Max Allegri has often deployed the former Atletico Madrid striker on wings which was is not particularly up to Mandzukic’s own liking.
The 30-year-old striker has amassed 27 Serie A appearances this season for the Old Lady and has managed 5 goals domestically, while also adding one more in the Champions League.
Mandzukic has recently been linked with a move to West Ham, where he would be greeted by his compatriot Slaven Bilic, who is thought to be extremely keen to bring the Croatian striker at the London Stadium.
Hammer’s most recent form however has put Slaven Bilic’s position under great pressure and Mandzukic is believed to be exploring other options as well, with Arsenal thought to be ready to join the race for his signature.
Arsenal are in the market for a striker and are expected to bolster their front line during summer, but it remains to be seen whether a player of similar qualities to Olivier Giroud truly is someone who can add an extra quality to Gunners’ performances next season.
Mandzukic is under contract with Juventus under 2019.
