Arsenal have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks and months as they look to reinforce their squad with some of their best players set to leave next summer. With this in mind, Barcelona’s Arda Turan has been spotted in London, which has only fuelled speculation surrounding his future.
Arsenal fell to a hugely disappointing defeat at the hands of Manchester United in a thrilling game of football. The 3-1 scoreline was not indicative of the way the two sides played, with the home team well on top throughout the encounter.
Indeed, Arsenal were superb creatively, but they came up against David de Gea, who was in inspired form, as he thwarted every effort bar Alexandre Lacazette’s close-range strike.
The loss was Arsenal’s first in three Premier League games and has seen the side fall to fifth in the league, a point behind Liverpool in fourth. Of course, the outcome of the game was disappointing, but the players and fans should look at the performance with pride, as if they can replicate that level again, then they will win most of their games.
However, this has not stopped the club being linked with new players, and one of their reported targets has been sighted in London. The Mirror have reported that Arda Turan was spotted in London, with Barcelona supposedly happy to allow the Turkish player to leave in January.
Turan has not featured for the Spanish side this season and is said to be keen to leave Barcelona in order to save his career. Perhaps a move to Arsenal would provide a platform on which he can rebuild his career.
