Arsenal target Malcom has admitted that playing in England is ‘a dream’, with both the Gunners and Tottenham circling as the player’s future is still very much up in the air with the pace of the transfer window going up a notch.
Arsenal seem to be on the verge of losing Alexis Sanchez as the Chilean nears a move to Manchester United. It seemed as though the forward would be making a switch to Manchester, but to be with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. However, this proposed move never came to fruition and it seems likely that the Chilean will be playing in the red of United in the coming weeks.
As part of the deal it has been reported that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will join Arsenal, with the former-Borussia Dortmund man struggling to regularly break into the team under Jose Mourinho.
With the incoming Mkhitaryan and rumours surrounding a potential move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it seems as though Arsene Wenger is committed to strengthening his club with new attackers. Indeed, they have also been linked with a move for Bordeaux winger Malcom.
On his proposed move, Malcom is reported by The Sun to have said: “Is England a dream? Yes, it is a dream, it is a dream for all players and I am no different”.
While a move may not materialise in the current window, Malcom’s admission that playing in England would be a dream will have the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham’s interest intensifying. With Sanchez on the verge of leaving, Wenger will be desperate to add another out-and-out winger to his side.
