According to the reports coming from the Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are interested in Barcelona teenage sensation Pablo Moreno.
The 15-year-old striker is enjoying a rather prolific spell with the Catalan club in the Cadet A division where he is currently the leading goal scorer with 18 goals in his tally.
Described as a player with ‘killer instinct’, Pablo Moreno has already attracted plenty of interest from some of Europe’s leading clubs – most notably Premier League rivals Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
An incredibly powerful player for a boy his age, Moreno is a dominant force in Franc Artiga’s side. He’s been frequently involved in Barcelona’s Juvenil B side where his progress has been tested with a class above his age and his brilliant performances led to a call-up by David Gordo in the Spanish Under-16 national set-up.
The promising youngster is nearing the end of his contract with Barcelona and – with his deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign – Moreno is set to be the subject of an intense bidding war if reports from Spain are anything to go by.
Barcelona are very much aware of the interest from Premier League sides – including Arsenal’s – and are keen to try and tie him down on a new deal with the Catalan giants where he would be given a chance to continue his development.
Arsenal, however, are determined to get one back at Barcelona for poaching their youngster Marcus McGuane last week and will do everything in their power to hit back with a possible deal for Pablo Moreno.
