North London club Arsenal are said to be leading the chase for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Leon Bailey, according to reports from Mirror.
The host of Premier League top clubs which includes Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are thought to be highly keen on the highly rated forward with Arsenal reportedly emerging as frontrunners in the race for the talented 20-year-old.
Gunners will attempt to persuade the Jamaica international to move to London in January as they look to strengthen their squad and secure a replacement for wantaway star Alexis Sanchez, who could be on the move during winter.
Leon Bailey only joined Bayer Leverkusen from Genk on a five-year deal ahead of the 2017/18 season but wasted no time in proving what a top talent he actually is with a sensational start to his life in Germany.
He has thus far made 22 Bundesliga appearances and added 6 goals to his tally. His performances have put a number of clubs on red alert with Premier League rivals believed to be leading the race.
Chelsea are understood to have already had a £22 million bid rejected whereas Manchester United already laid their eyes on the youngster.
Arsenal, however, are reportedly prepared to fork out £30 million in January to persuade Bayer Leverkusen to sell their prized asset.
Gunners watched Bailey in action twice last week alone and are said to have been impressed with his displays against Hannover and Borussia Monchengladbach.
