According to the Daily Telegraph and reports from Spain, Arsenal are once again interested in signing Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez.
It is being reported that Arsenal have been in touch with the forward’s agent about the possibility of the Spanish international heading to north London this summer.
Pedro has only recently signed a new deal with the Catalan club that expires in 2019 and contains a release clause of £110million. Despite signing that new contract Pedro’s future at the European champions is still in doubt.
The 27-year-old struggled for regular first team football last season, with the South American trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in red hot form for the all-conquering Spanish giants.
Despite his lack of first team opportunities Pedro still managed to score 11 goals last season, helping his side claim the domestic double and also the Champions League.
The Gunners are reportedly looking for a new forward player this summer. Pedro is no doubt a very good player with a wealth of experience at both club and international level.
However, he has previously stated that he is happy with the Catalan giants and this is a deal that looks very unlikely to happen this summer.
Will Arsenal attempt to sign Pedro this summer?
