ESPN FC is reporting that that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Chelsea forward Kenedy, and they are looking to come forward with an official proposal in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners appear to have been impressed with the Brazilian’s performances during the loan spell with Newcastle United and they are ready to offer him an escape route from Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old has fared pretty well since arriving at St James’ Park, having managed 2 goals and as many assists in 8 Premier League starts, and it is believed that Chelsea would consider selling him at the end of the season.
According to reports, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are all keen on Kenedy, who looks increasingly likely to leave the Blues in search of first team football.
Capable of operating in a number of different positions, the Brazilian could prove an asset for the Gunners, obviously provided he is available at a reasonable price.
However, Chelsea may refuse to sell the player to their Premier League rivals and instead attempt to find him a new club abroad.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will get a perfect opportunity to make a check on his target when Newcastle United host Arsenal on Sunday, with the Gunners priced at 11/10 to emerge victorious.
