Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron is enjoying a rich vein of form for the MLS club and has seen his brimming form get a couple of high-profile European clubs hot on his trail.
The 23-year-old Paraguay international has raised plenty of eyebrows during his maiden season in the MLS. Almiron joined Atlanta United from Lanus last December and has thus far made 29 competitive appearances for his club.
Nine goals came as a huge reward for his exciting efforts, whereas it is the attention from the likes of Inter Milan and Arsenal that also came as a result of his impressive form.
Almiron was linked with Inter Milan last summer but decided to make a move to the United States instead. Such a decision proved to be a great one given the fact Almiron stepped up his game and progressed immensely over the past 12 months under the watchful guidance of former Barcelona boss Tata Martino.
The Serie A giants look set to revive their interest in the Paraguay starlet but Calciomercato suggests that Arsenal are also eyeing a move for the 23-year-old.
Almiron is said to be yet another attacking midfield option considered as a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil who is likely to leave the Emirates when his contract expires – or sooner.
Arsene Wenger has already started to plan for life without Ozil and Sanchez and has thus far been linked with a couple of names, including the PSV hot-shot Hirving Lozano.
Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron could be available for a reasonable fee in excess of €15-20 million which would allow the MLS side to earn a profit on its €11 million investment.
Arsenal get back to club duty after the international break with a match at Watford on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners are available at 8/13 betting odds to claim a victory at Vicarage Road.
