Arsenal have to bounce back immediately after their loss to Manchester United

Posted on December 02, 2017 by Ben Darvill

When Manchester City drew with Everton back in August, they were able to hit back with a run of games that has seen them not drop a single point in the league or in Europe since then. When Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace in October, they managed to embark upon a run in which they are unbeaten in seven Premier League games, winning six of them. In a few months time, Arsenal need to make sure that people are saying the same about their run of wins after losing to Manchester United.

It is all well and good for the top sides to┬ábe in superb form, winning games and scoring goals with outstanding performances, but the real measure of a team comes when they are struggling massively, with the pressure piling upon them. After all, Sir Alex Ferguson’s teams were renowned for their ability to grind out results like nobody else, which is what made them the incredible outfit they were.

Arsenal have been on a good run of form that was ended in entertaining fashion in a 3-1 loss to Manchester United. On another day, Arsenal would have won as the majority of the chances fell to them, but they didn’t. They need to take a huge amount of confidence from the way they played, and channel that into ensuring that they win their next game.

The Gunners face a trip to Southampton in their next fixture, and a win is vital. People are all too aware of Arsenal’s ability to allow one defeat to snowball, which means that Arsene Wenger cannot afford his side to embark on a run of dropping points, rather than picking them up.

Defensive errors and brilliant saves from the best goalkeeper in the world were our downfall . We must pick ourselves up and move forward . In January we must buy a world class CB and possible a strong holding midfielder .

  2. Andrew Ken Reyes says:

We can gain 21 points by January 1st. Just focus on winning our next 7 games and make a statement with a victory against Liverpool .
