Arsenal are big favourites to pick up all three points against Stoke City when the Gunners travel to the Britannia Stadium in Saturday evening’s Premier League clash. Arsenal have started the new Premier League season much more convincingly than their opponents and could find themselves top of the table if results go their way this weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side came out on top in a seven-goal thriller against Leicester City in their opening game, while Mark Hughes’ Stoke City side suffered a narrow defeat to Everton. Arsenal have won consecutive games ahead of this evening’s meeting, beating Chelsea in the Community Shield before the Leicester victory, while City can’t stop losing.
Stoke come into this evening’s meeting off the back of three losses from their last four games in all competitions, and have fared poorly in recent head-to-heads with Arsenal – suffering four defeats and a draw in their last five against the Gunners. As a result, they’re likely to come unstuck in their latest clash, especially considering Arsenal put four past them at the Britannia just three months ago.
Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League table, Stoke are 16th. Arsenal are 10/11 to win against the Potters this evening, to potentially finish the weekend at the summit.
